Işıl Eğrikavuk
Işıl Eğrikavuk (PhD) is an artist and academic, whose research
specializes in performance, dialogue-based art and artistic research.
She has an MFA from School of The Art Institute of Chicago and a PhD
from Istanbul Bilgi University. She has worked as a faculty member at
Berlin University of Arts (UdK) between 2017-2024. Currently she is a
post-doc fellow at Käte Hamburger Research Center/global dis:connect at
Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich.
In 2024 Işıl Eğrikavuk published her book, “Global Protests Through Art
– collaboration, co-creation, interconnectedness”, which was
co-published by Universitat der Künste and Books People Places. She has
exhibited and performed at various international exhibitions including
Chicago Architecture Biennial, Chicago; Die Buehne, Berlin; Art
Souterrain, Montreal; Block Universe, London; Lenbachhaus Museum,
Munich; Salt Galata & Ulus, İstanbul & Ankara; 11th Sharjah Biennial,
Sharjah; Egeran Gallery, Istanbul; 11th Istanbul Biennial; Endgame,
South Korea.
