
Eylem Çamuroğlu Çığ
Eylem Çamuroglu Çığ is a Gerda Henkel fellow at the Media Studies Department at the University of Bayreuth. She works at the intersections of Media Studies and Political Theory. Her Ph.D thesis was about public sphere and journalistic questions. And since then, she is working on public sphere theories, Islamic-neoliberalism, contemporary Turkey, press freedom and academic freedom. She was dismissed from her position in Turkey because she was among the signotories of the “Academics for Peace” Declaration in 2016.
